Robotics @ Coppin Academy Charter High School
As Coppin Academy’s Physics Teacher, Ligaya B. Diculen, introduces Coppin Academy students to robotics, LAIA assists with identifying potential areas of research, curricula ideas, and material/equipment.
Members of LAIA’s faculty team partner with University of Maryland, College Park’s Mathletics Program with the goal of bringing the project to Coppin beginning Summer 2020. Mathletics is a daily, 3-week summer camp for middle school students hosted at the University of Maryland, College Park (UMCP) under the Maryland Institute for Minority Achievement and Urban Education (MIMAUE), a division of the College of Education at UMCP. Students are engaged in daily athletic activities that engage students in the application of mathematics to professional athletics.
