Biographical Info

Lawrence Fejokwu is an International student from Lagos, Nigeria currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science with a Minor in Mathematics. He expects to graduate in December 2016. He moved to the United States in 2010 on a basketball scholarship to further his education and pursue his passion for technology. While chasing his degree lawrence played division one basketball and used all the knowledge gained in the classroom, personal projects for companies like Payporte Global Inc and Truteam where he is currently the commercial IT intern for Commercial HUB.

With a strong passion for technology he plans to pursue a career as a database administrator leading up to becoming a project Manager. He has taken up leadership positions as a member of the SAAC (Student Athletic Advising Committee), Vivian Burey Marshall HBCU Mentor, and is the Currents Lab Manager of LAIA (Lab for Artificial Intelligence and its Applications). Lawrence also has a passion for helping others and plans to set up a Non-Government Organization that will help minorities in the US and Africans learn programming at an early age to help them catch up with the technological trend of today’s market.
