Biographical Info

My name is Hafsa. I have always been interested in a lot of things. I started out with being interested in writing. So I attended several workshops by the Washington Post and wrote a narrative that was published on their website. I also wrote a review for the DC Love Girls Magazine. In my freshmen year of highschool, I participated in this program called Critical Exposure where we advocated and fought for problems and injustices in DC public schools. This led to an interest in photography. One of the photographs that I took on a picture walk through my neighborhood was sold at an auction and another photograph was used for their flyers. Towards the end of this program, I had the opportunity to interview DC officials and this rekindled my interest in journalism and writing. I’m currently learning about graphic design, programming, artificial intelligence, video producing, and photography. I’m passionate about anything that catches my interest and I’m always looking for opportunities to learn more.
